๐ get to know me!
I'm Jarvis Al Baasith recent graduate from Indonesia.
I describe myself as a generalist learner, I am essentially into everything. While my curiosity spans many fields, my professional expertise lies in SDET/QA (Software Development Engineer in Test), with a primary focus on automation testing. I created this space to summarize my learning process. Whether it is a deep dive into a new framework, a quick note on a bug fix, or a reflection on software quality, you will find it documented here.
The Name "Jarvis"โ
You might hear "Jarvis" and think of Tony Stark's assistant. I get that a lot, the origin of my name is quite different. ๐
The name Jarvis finds its origins in the Old English words gฤr (spear) and fฤqe (man). Historically, it signifies a "Spearman" or a warrior skilled in battle. It was a name often bestowed upon individuals in medieval England who demonstrated exceptional strength and skill.. (cmiiw)
Interests & Hobbiesโ
I was very into gaming back then, which naturally sparked my curiosity about how software functions. These days, I have traded the keyboard and controller for a code editor (holy cow, that wasn't funny, wasn't it?).
- Tinkering & Dev: I have a habit of writing automation scripts for almost every repetitive task I encounter. If I have to do it twice, I will likely write a script for it.
- Automation Enthusiast: My experiments range from simple Python scripts to manage local files, to complex AI-based automation using tools and custom-made AI agents. I once spent hours to automate task i can complete in 8 minutes.
- Reading: I am an avid reader of Manhwa, Manhua, and even Webnovels. I plan to compile a list of everything I have read with ratings on this site soon.
Career Goalsโ
Currently, I am wholeheartedly pursuing a career as an SDET/QA Engineer.
I find genuine satisfaction in the "detective work" of testing, breaking down things to make it better is just my thing, I guess?. From writing end-to-end automation suites to exploring the potential of AI in testing, I will definitely share lots of things here!
